LIGHTBURN TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST

Connection:
- Correct device type selected: GRBL, Ruida, TopWisdom, or Galvo.
- Correct COM port or IP address selected.
- No other laser software is using the same connection.
- USB cable is short and direct, not through a hub.
- USB sleep/selective suspend is disabled if disconnects happen.

Motion and origin:
- Device origin matches the machine home corner.
- Work area size is correct.
- Start From mode is appropriate for the job.
- Absolute Coords is tested for beginner troubleshooting.

Output:
- For GRBL, check $32=1.
- For GRBL, LightBurn S-value max matches controller $30.
- For DSP, min/max layer power is not zero.
- CO2 water protect and lid interlock are satisfied.

Rotary:
- Rotary mode is enabled only for rotary jobs.
- Object diameter is correct.
- Steps per rotation are tested with a wrap line.
- Rotary mode is disabled before returning to flat work.

Camera:
- Lens calibration completed.
- Camera alignment completed.
- Lid angle is repeatable.
- Lighting is consistent.

Galvo/fiber:
- Correct lens field size selected.
- Correct correction file loaded.
- Focus test completed.
- Scale calibration checked with a measured square.
